Lateral Entry Teachers

10-Day Lateral Entry Orientation Training Options

In an effort to assist Newly Hired Lateral Entry Teachers in completing the 10-Day Orientation before the start of school, GCS is providing seven opportunity options to complete the 10-Day Lateral Entry Orientation Training.

During the orientation training, you will be given an overview of the lateral entry process. You will be given materials to complete a seven day independent study with online assignments which will give you insight into planning for instruction and managing a classroom. Lateral Entry Teachers are required to attend the New Teacher Orientation on August 12-14 at Grimsley High School. Upon successful review of these assignments and attendance to the New Teacher Orientation a GCS Ten Day Lateral Entry Certificate will be issued and a copy will be placed in you employment file.

For Newly Hired Lateral Entry Teachers please choose ONE of the Orientation dates to attend. You may call Debby Bryant or Vernita Hill @ 370-8098 to register your attendance.
